I only just made the switch to stainless steel water bottles last year after learning the chemical bisphenol A, a hormone disruptor, could be leached from my #7 reusable bottles. I wanted to find a safer choice but didn’t want to throw more money at a product or company with whom I didn’t love. I chose the bottles from AffirmWater.com for a myriad of reasons and I’ve been very happy with my choice.
AffirmWater boasts 7 different affirming designs on their 17 oz and 24 oz bottles. Every bottle is made from lightweight, BPA free, 18/8 (#304) food grade stainless steel. Unlike some stainless steel bottles that are made from lower grade steel and may leach, AffirmWater conducts third-party testing to ensure the safety of their bottles. Each bottle also comes with two tops – a sports cap and a twist-off cap with carabineer. Available among their bottles are t-shirts, bottle totes and more, while this summer they will offer a 32 oz wide mouth bottle and an insulated, waterproof, 100% recycled PETE AffirmWater brand bottle carrier. Their prices are not only affordable, but a portion of each bottle purchase is donated to the Nature Conservancy.
My Review of AffirmWater Bottles:

The designs are great and eye-catching. It’s sparked many conversations about the use of stainless steel bottles and the dangers of plastics and several of my friends liked the bottle enough to order some of their own. The design hasn’t begun to wear off, like so many other bottles tend to do in the same time frame. Zeb prefers the sports cap, but the flow is slower than Justin and I prefer, so we stick with the twist-off cap. Cleaning the bottles and twist-off caps is easy, but sports caps (of any brand) are a pain to wash and dry. I usually handwash our bottles and throw the sports caps in the dishwasher. Although they don’t recommend it, I have washed my bottles in the dishwasher without issue but only on a lighter wash.
The only caveat that I’ve found to using stainless steel bottles is the tendency for the bottoms (of all brands) to pop out upon serious impact or when left in extreme conditions. It’s not recommended to freeze water in stainless steel bottles for this reason. And when I left my AffirmWater bottle in the hot vehicle in the summertime the bottom popped out. 9 times out of 10 a good slam will fix the convex dent, as mine did. But despite the reason being my own fault or the fact my bottle wasn’t permanently dented, AffirmWater still offered to replace it, eliciting a solid “You guys rock!” from me.
There are so many other reasons to like this company and their product – from their reuse of shipping materials to their environmental impact page. But how about this reason?

What an awesome contest! I’d happily use any one of those designs but if I had to choose I think I’d choose “Energized”.
It reminds me of the positively charged water molecules that were happy in that test that was done that may or may not be real. Maybe you know what I’m talking about. If not, just smile and nod. I get that a lot.

I like the “tread lightly” logo – it caused me to think more about what that means – plus it’s different. Although I like the others too, you see them more often on other products. A great water bottle! My husband has been saving glass Grolsch beer bottles to put his water in with the attached bottle tops you snap down – but I feel a little self-conscious taking a glug of water out of those -especially when driving! And extra especially when my 8 year old wants a sip in the car too!
Tough decision. I’ll choose tread lightly. This is on my list of possible to buys.

I love the Karma logo. I would like to have one for each of my grandkids. They are learning about recycling and the environment. These look great for bike rides, picnics, TaeKwonDo class, etc. How nice of you to have this giveaway.
