We have yet to be successful in daily advent rituals. But we’re enjoying the flow nonetheless.

.
Yesterday was spent ::
:: Tree trimming a still crooked (but sturdy) tree
.

.
:: Laughing hysterically at the goofy things we do in front of the camera
:: Playing a bit with my new present before putting it away
.

.
:: Making omelets together
:: Snuggling on the couch, watching A Christmas Story and reciting the best lines verbatim
.

.
:: Playing with the Rubik’s Cube and coming to the conclusion that the real genius doesn’t mix it up to begin with
:: Finishing my newborn’s niece’s baby blanket while Zeb reads a chapter of HP2 out loud
.

.
:: Enjoying each other’s company

One of my uncles could do the cube. I never could. I think ONCE I got three sides… never could get four.
I’ve never been successful with that darn cube either. Glad to see the tree is standing!
This post just makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside! You’ve captured such a wonderful feeling of a lovely day spent in quiet holiday preparations with family…
@rachel, I think we get 1 and a half sides before we give up. I’m about to start peeling stickers.
Sounds like a pretty perfect evening! Peeling the stickers off? Well, heck, if you’re going to do that why not replace them w/ Pokemon stickers just to be silly
We are enjoying a LEGO advent calendar over here…more little pieces of joy
I love A Christmas Story…good times~
Your home looks so cozy….can I just come to your house???
that feels like the perfect advent day – warm, snuggly, cosy and full of fun family times – lots of laughter and love.
Could never do the Cube either- there is a way to take it apart and put it back together – still cheating but less obvious than peeling stickers!!
A Christmas Story is favorite of our family’s too. Dh has a horribly ugly lamp he loves, and I make Christmas-story inspired jokes about accidentally breaking it someday…”I was just dusting. I don’t know what happened”.
Sounds like a fun evening.
