We finished digging the holes for the fruit trees yesterday afternoon. I filled them with water for the first of two drainage tests with no issue.
This morning I went out to fill the holes again in order to see how fast they would drain the second time. Turned the water on around 8:30am and knowing it would take several minutes to fill, I went inside to check my seedlings and find any new sprouts. Then we did our chores, ate, checked emails, got ready for the park and left to spend the entire day with our LifeLearner friends.
Justin called at 4:45pm. The hose was still on. Both holes were of course filled, as was the entire backyard. Doh!
Note to self: Stop multi-tasking. Stay in the moment.

Well, I did find out we have good drainage (too good?). This AM it the holes were drained. Phew! At least the irrigation guy won’t be walking thru slush tomorrow.
