Leaving Las Vegas

The RV is packed and waiting, we’ve said our goodbyes and Justin is waiting for me to get off the computer. :) What felt like an eternity away just six months ago is here and now it’s our time to finally go.

Congrats on this all finally happening! It makes me think of Anna Paquin’s character in Almost Famous where she walks around saying, “it’s all happening, it’s all happening” in her groovy groupie tone of voice…

guess what Tara? It’s all happening!!

Happy travels!!

okay, this little gypsy is having a serious case of wanderlust since finding yours and other families doing this RVing thing.

I am going to follow along and see if I just don’t wind up hitting the road with my family in the next year or two!

Enjoy your new beginnings! Can’t wait to read all about it! Much love, Heather

Say hey to Zeb!

Have fun, Tara and family!! =)

Yay!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I’m so happy for you. That first step is so hard – sad to leave what is known and loved – but you’ll be glowing with adventure in no time. Good luck!

It truly is all about the journey, and it sounds like yours is gonna be suh-weet! Have a blast!

Good journey to you!!! Hope you are able to update often!

Bon voyage, happy trails, and as my mother used to always say as I was driving away, “Drive like a maniac!” Guess it was her version of break a leg. ;-)

Have a blast!

i can’t believe how quickly the time has passed. good luck!!!

Have a great time traveling and be safe!

Have a great time on the adventure.

I’m so jealous. However, Emily and I had our first serious conversation about doing the same… I’ll thank your friends the Jansen family and their blog for inspiring her.

Fantastic news! Have a blessed adventure. I can’t wait to read more about it.

I keep telling hubby we need to get a RV and travel for about a year.

What you guys are doing is awesome!! Yayayay!!
Just went to a gypsy fair actually, a bit event for motor homers, lots of unschoolers too… very inspiring. Heard of the Zapp family? Travelling the world in a car like chitty chitty bang bang with 4 kids!! woweee… Can you imagine that??

HI, I work with Geez, a non-profit magazine, and I’m really interested in your traveling experiment.

Would you be interested in writing a short piece (50-500 words) on what your “experiment” is all about, why you are doing it and what you learning from it so far?

I am the section editor of the experiments section and am always on the hunt for people who are trying new things and making an effort to live sustainably, wisely, or just differently.
