Inspiration Monday – Heading South

Bench Monday - Dancing Rabbit Edition
[Current location: Dancing Rabbit Eco-Village, Missouri]

We couldn’t be more excited! We’re heading south to Dallas, Texas for the annual Rethinking Everything Conference starting on Friday. Although  it’s their 14th year, it is only our first year attending RE and we can’t wait to spend 5+ days with some awesome conference veterans doing some awesome conference connecting.

Some inspiring things we’re looking forward to:

  • Seeing some Texan friends
  • Joining in the stop-motion animation fun
  • Hooping with new friends
  • Discussing Big Ideas
  • Adding our voices to the documentary
  • Playing in the pool
  • Eating yummy food

Will you be there?

Beach Monday

We’re in eastern Wisconsin now, outside Green Bay. Zeb’s Gramma has flown into town and we are all staying with her brother and his family at their house on the lake. The weather is cool and breezy and the water is warm, and the family is amazing. They have paddle boats and tubing and more fun than I can describe. I’m spending my time hooping and hooping and hooping on the sand. It’s been an amazing experience to spend so much time out of my head and in my body (without the humidity slowing me down!).

We’ll be enjoying our time here for a couple more days and I intend to spend as much of it in the sun as I can. But before I jump into my hoop again, I wanted to share a few inspiring things I’ve been loving the past week!

Would you like to join in the inspiration?

No need to follow any rules; it’s just a fun, no-obligation sharing of whatever inspires you.

Bench Monday – Can you spot what’s missing?

We’re in transit today, making our way toward Madison, Wisconsin. Are you in the area? We’re planning a potluck later this week and we’d love for you to join us; let me know and I’ll send you the details!

In the meantime, I hope you enjoy these links as much as we have…

Inconsistent Monday

Stone Wall Monday
Bench Monday in Granny’s garden

I’ve realized something about myself: I feel little to no sense of obligation in my life. For instance, I start Inspiration Mondays then promptly forget about them for two months. And I’m okay with that. Life is beautifully inconsistent and my blog is just an authentic representation of that. ;)

Some links I’ve been saving for you:

What’s inspiring you right now?

Inspiration Monday

Mailbox Monday

That’s what I’m gonna call these random Monday posts from now on – Inspiration Mondays.

I *love* taking Bench Monday photos and I find loads of inspiration in seeing what the others photographers do. And what better way to share my love of climbing on random objects than with some inspirational (or at least, thought-provoking) linky love to boot?

So, there you have it. Inspiration Mondays. No promising they will always be inspirational…nor happen every Monday. ;)

  • Found this article on neuro-toxins in soy burgers interesting. One more reason to avoid soy.
  • Loved this article on how kids learn math naturally
  • We’re here with a bunch of NuRVers (most of whom unschool their kids) and I’m digging the diversity and acceptance floating about. Who says the world is harsh and we need to prepare our kids for brutality? Life is good and we want our kid to revel in it!
  • Oh man, I NEED this music. Injected right into my skull, please.
  • She always tells it like she sees it.
  • Have I shared this one with you yet? It doesn’t matter. It’s a good one to read again.
  • Some eye candy: here and here and here and here.
  • I have some stuff up my sleeve that I’m looking forward to sharing. But I’m not there yet. The ideas are still brewing beneath my hat (if I could ever find a hat to fit over my dreads, that is) that should be ready for action soon.
