Welcome Sustainable Baby Steps readers!

Tara Wagner
Here’s something you might not realize: Sustainable Baby Steps and this website are both created by me.

SBS is my more practical side. And this site here, The Organic Sister, this is where I take the principles of living a conscious, organic life a whole lot deeper.

If you don’t already know me, let me introduce myself:

I’m Tara Wagner. I’m a life coach and the creator of the Digging Deep process and the Organic Sisterhood. I help women examine the conventional wisdom in their lives, examine the barriers and fears within themselves, and step out into the world ready and confident in living their values and authenticity – even if that means looking pretty “unconventional” from the outside.

I talk about Being Organic – not just eating organic foods or buying green products – but embodying our principles and moving from our innate and natural selves, our core, what some of us call our Truth or our spirit.

What does this look like?

Well, what it will look like on the outside is different for everyone. But on this site and in what I do here I talk about examining our fears of what other will think, questioning the knee-jerk reactions we find ourselves having in our relationships, spending some time with our hearts and our stories, question our perceptions of ourselves and others, and find the route that allows us and those we love to feel whole, loved, accepted, and fulfilled.

This often means approaching relationships in a different manner, asking ourselves what radical acceptance and deep respect and patience look like, or how we can create synergy and harmony by coming together with our families with mindfulness and non-violence, instead of using the top-down approach. It means making hard choices with our lives and jobs, living and working in accordance with our actual priorities (such as working fewer hours, making less money, or diving into a scary opportunity in order to prioritize our family or our own well-being, rather than “keep up with the Joneses”). It most definitely means examining the roles we’ve taken on within ourselves, the ideas we have of “should” and “have to” and “what will others think” in order to find where our heart is really leading us.

Does this deeper level of organic living resonate with you?

If so I’d like to offer you the opportunity to poke around and check things out.

  • I offer a free e-course full of tools to help you get started in your own path.
  • You can learn more about me on my about page.
  • I have put many of my coaching tools into DIY toolkits to take you further.
  • And because I know the value of a tribe, I’d love to invite you to the Sisterhood.

I also have a blog with a long archive of articles, inspiration, ideas, stories, experiences and more.

It’s not there to tell you HOW to live your life and Be Organic. It’s there to inspire you to challenge the status quo, challenge your own ideas, and find what is truly and wonderfully organic to you.
